got a schecter blackjack, mahogany body comes with stock seymour duncan pups, im gonna upgrade mi amp to prbly a Peavey 6505 combo, what pickups would be good for pantera, metallica, nu metal/metal?
-
Id suggest a Miracle man. Great in Mahogany bodies (as far as i know) and it has loads of lower mids and a very tight low end, which is perfect for Nu-metal.
t also gives you the power

Miracle Man/Cold Sweat combo.

How do you like the blackjack?
I have a 006 and I think it's a great guitar for the money.
Which one do you have, C1, 006, PT??
-
^ I got the C1 i love it except the JB/59 stock combo isn't really that great for heavy metal.
-
i have a 006 blackjack. im saving for the coldsweat/MM combo!

What's the cold sweat like? I heard the clips of the miracle man it soundz brutal and has really good heavy distortion.
-
I don't have a cold sweat, but from what I've read so far it seems to be the standard advice for people wanting a Petrucci like neck solo sound...
