Title: Will this blow up my amp???
Post by: CaffeineJunkie on June 21, 2006, 11:32:03 PM
ello

Was looking at a Z Vex Super-Duper-2-in-1, and wondered whether or not it would blow up a 1987X head, as it mentions somewhere that it might, but i can't tell if it's just Mr Vex being comical

Cheers

CJ

He's kinda being comical but not. The super dupers are basicaly super hard ons, and those can drive your amps beyond belief. If you have your amp dimed, then you stomp on this thing when dimed, no more amp. Just don't do that.

Ask Zach he responds to emails and he does have a suitably sense of humour ;)

Hell you can melt tubes and tube sockets in Marshall Majors with a Keeley Java Boost.... I know because I've done it!  A 1987X will take more abuse from boosting the input than a Major though, at least the last time I checked.
