Title: AMT Pedals
Post by: Dave Simpson on June 27, 2006, 03:48:28 PM
Any of you guys own any of these?

I'm thinking about getting a "CALIFORNIA SOUND". The clips I've heard with it are pretty cool sounding.

i prefered the clips of the British sound. They're both definately nice sounding pedals 8)
EDIT: In fact, they ALL sound good :o i'll have to find somewhere that stocks these.

Hmmm they sound all quite compressed to me - prefer it more "open "...

yeah i know what ur saying! i have a JCM800 which is pretty damn open-sounding, so personally i tend to steer towards no pedals for an open sound and overdrives if i need more compression...

I was going to use it in front of my Epi Valve Jr. head for playing at home. The neighbors don't appreciate my Mesa Boogie as much as I do.

I owned the older version of the Du Hast model, it was called Rammstein.

It sounded good but too compressed for me.
They tried to emulate the Mesa-Kruspe kind of sound but it didn't work for me.

The Tube Platinum sounds the best to my ears.

The British sounds very 80s NWOBHM to me too, which is awesome if you want that tone :)

I may get intouch with these guys in the future :)
