Title: Cubase Question!
Post by: Johnny Mac on June 27, 2006, 06:37:35 PM
Anyone know how to use Groove Agent 2 and Virtual Bassist in Cubase vst? Can you put you own midi files in that they will play or make you own?

Any of those plug in instruments should work from MIDI files and your own input. I think you just have to make sure the MIDI instrument is set so that it's the plug in instrument, though I'm not 100%. I avoid MIDI like the plague! ;)

I think you have to write automations with those programs. When recording you click the W (write), while playing back you click R (read) so that the program reads the previously written automation. Last time I wrote a drum track with Groove Agent I didn't need a single MIDI track, just playing with the write/read functions. When you load Groove Agent you'll have a multi-layer automation track with all the variables shown. If you don't see the tracks, just click 'Show automations' or something like that.
