well it really depends on
a) what kind of sounds you want
b) what guitar you'll be putting the pickup in...

Couldn't agree more.
For a balanced set then yes, the Nailbomb neck makes a lot of sense but if you have a specific use for your neck p/up that demands a different set of criteria than your bridge then something else may be suitable ie, Coldsweat for shred, Stormy Monday for a sweet fluid blues tone etc

fair enough. yes it would be a calibrated set should i chose the nailbomb for the neck. its going into a USA Jackson RR-1 and i play metal (along the lines of Iced Earth, Hammerfall, Dream Evil etc

I will be going with a Mississippi Queen in the neck and a Nailbomb in the bridge for my Les Paul setup, though it's more to handle sweet cleans, fuzz, etc. If you just play metal I'd say get a calibrated set of Nailbombs with the 4 conductor wiring so you can split the coils.

Good question, but measure it yourself...If it has a trem, no doubt it's 52 mm, but if the guitar has a stop-tail bridge or other bridge, then I wouldn't doubt that it is 50 mm. Those small differences, eh?

50mm is for Gibson styles Bridges and ANY neck pickup.
52mm is for Fender/Jackson/Ibanez Bridge Only.

If you order a set of Calibrated pickups with 52mm spacing, the neck will be 50mm without you having to specify this.
