I am intrested in getting a set of mules for my les paul but all the soundclips I've heard of them sound a bit too clear and maby a bit electronic. Can the mules get really creamy (think cream)?

Electronic ?! :? Didnt you hear Tims clip? Its amazing. They can do Cream fine aswell.. they dont sound so good through a modeller or solid state amp as a nice valve amp, thats pretty obvious though
-
It could just be how he recorded it. He recorded straight to a computer right. If it was throught a good tube amp I'm sure it would sound better. Does anyone get what I'm saying about it sounding a bit electronic?
-
If I could make a suggestion.
If you're after a warmer (euphonic) sound, check out the Abraxis.

I just did some recording with the Mule set through a modded Marshall this past weekend. They sounded like melted butter. Warm and beautiful.

Clear is good, isn't it? At least I like clear, that's why I'm going to order Nailbombs at the weekend

dont ever pay too much attention to soundclips .......they are good fun but speaking to tim might be less confusing, the mules are paf type organic warm , bright clear , airy .....excellent

For Cream sounds, I'd think Mules or Stormy Mondays oughta be ideal.

I was going through all the mule clips in the players section and they do sound good. To me Tim's recording sounds a bit too processed. I've got a better idea of them now.
