Got a guitar on the go being built by this guy, (http://www.driskillguitars.com) should be ready in a few weeks, been over a year in the making. Joe does some awesome stuff, but my guitar will be uber-plain and boring looking (but choc full of tone!). Ultimately it's destined for a pair of humbucker sized P90s, they'll go in when the guitar arrives and I've given it a good going over. In the meantime it's having a pair of humbuckers going in, finest BK Nailbombs. :D Can't wait to check the guitar out, can't wait to check the pickups out. Rock on!
Cheers, Niall.

Nailbomb is a great jack-of-all-trades PU, IMHO. It pushes really hard, but use the volume pot and you can do almost anything. And the clean is not bad for a high-gainer.
Enjoy!

These guitars look very nice.....but I'd love to see the plain one!

Hi HJM
Yeah Joe does all manner of fancy and figured maple, truly stunning stuff.... I do like a bit of that (being a long time PRS fan) but the tones that I'm digging more as the years go on seem to lie in less figured woods: korina, mahogany, spruce.... The guitar Joe is doing for me now has a mahogany top Semi-hollow, no f-holes), can't wait to see how the NailBombs work out in it, but will be a much more exciting proposition for me when the P90s go in.
Cheers, N.
