Theres a handheld kids toy, that uses a simple yes/no answer and I have yet to see it take more than 12 questions (but it's cr@p because it costs money).

I got one of those for Christmas...Kept me entertained for a week :P

You could say a guitar is a specific thing, but I would say that a 63 Strat in Lake Placid Blue is specific thing.

Lets just say I would expect it to manage the former (but it didn't), and I wouldn't expect it to get the latter. It was very dissapointing as it said Bass guitar, and when I answered close it came up with somthing really stupid like a rowing boat (I can't remember what but it was bizarre.)

I think the problem is that people thinking theyre being clever by cheating has screwed whatever logic theyre using (or trying to use). Which is sad as I find the purchased versions great fun as it's pretty damned hard to beat them.

I tried this one and it didn't guess guitar at all the first time, the second time it got electric guitar in 16 tries. Some people must know very little about guitars, based on some of the "facts" it's retained. I.e., guitars don't ever come in red or black; they're always very, very expensive; they aren't at all colourful, etc.

Gotta love this bit though:

Ahahah, finally in 22 questions it guessed sex!
The Darth vader one never got what i was thinking, which was sex lol.

Post by: deg0ey on July 06, 2006, 10:10:33 PM: Didn't guess lemonade, or alien...but admittedly for the latter I picked "animal" and then answered maybe to every question as we technically don't know about aliens...and then at the end when I told it what I picked, it said "contradictions" and listed every question and what it "thought" was the right answer "does it have spots? No" etc

But I disagree as an alien could have spots, we wouldn't know
