What did you use to record it? It sounds a little dull.
But man, it really shows the qualities of the War Pig well.
It sounds REALLY tight, you can hear all the notes very evenly and clearly, even though they' just powerchords. And the fast legato thing you did sounded REALLY pronounced, defined and organic. That's the power of the War Pig, definition. Basicly sounds the same as my 6 string, when I tune my E string down to B. Lovely pickup.
Playing was pretty good. Yeah, you missed up a little bit here and there, but hey, you're only human. I take that you sat down and really concentrated, instead of playing like you'd normally when you're good, like on stage.
The best tip anyone ever gave me about guitar playing was (albeit in a diffrent genre, but should aply here too): move to the beat of the song, dance around, be lively. I guess in Metal I'd headbang (I do it when I play fast stuff on my bass with the band), not 'cause it looks cool', but cause you're keeping time really well that way. I always try to move around, groove, or atleast tap my foot or something. Helps get rid of that bzz... bzz... RECORDING - Don't $%&# up tension, too, when you're just playing naturally like that, focusing on your feeling more.

i used a Roland VGA-3. I can't use my Marshall at the moment because i've left my cab at my bands rehearsal room. I also used my mp3 player to record as i have no recording programs.
Really i didn't warm up before hand. I just tried to get the best overall sound of the pickup. If i had anyway of playing along to a backing track i would of been happy. But i don't have the money yet for those kind of programs, so all i can do for now is improvise. Doesn't show what i can do.

Yeah, I figured as much. Hope I didn't offend you or anything. When all of a sudden that legato bit came up I was like PDT_022, this guy has some chops. He's probably not warmed up or something.
Still, keeping the beat by moving your body helps :wink:

The clip really shows how good the pickup is with handling low notes. The low B-string doesn't sound like a fart. :D

Your not cr@p at all Steve, lovely legato stuff. I used to study Anthrax live videos for the chugging years ago. Scott Ian is the Daddy of that IMHO! I love the chug.
