Here is my second clip posting here.  This is an instrumental metal tune.  I recorded this using a pair of Miracle Man pickups, although I never used the neck pickup.

Here is the signal chain:
Dean Custom Time Capsule V -> Miracle Man pickup -> ISP Decimator -> ENGL Powerball -> Marshall 1960A cabinet.

To record the tune:
Sure SM-57 (pointing directly at center of upper left cone) -> Behringer  Eurorack UB1002 mixer (EQ's set at center) -> Fostex MR8 eight track digital recorder.

I played a POS Rouge bass through my ENGL's clean channel too.  I double tracked all the rhythms, the verse bits, and the solo.  I mixed with Acoustica's Mixcraft and programmed the drums using Acoustica's Beatcraft.

Excellent clip.  Nice tight riffing, and awesome lead work. What channel do you use on the powerball, and what mids, open or focused? Is it different for your leads?

Thanks!  I used channel 3 with the focus button pushed in.  I have the gain set at about the 1 o'clock position.  I am thinking of backing off the gain a little though.

thats the kinda shizznel the Miracle Man does best.. just outright balls to the walls riffing!, also cuts through like a razor with leads.

Couldnt knock that man :)

Impressive stuff there Thor -both playing and sound. The debut clip was fantastic- the "difficult" second clip was wonderful and we are all anxiously awaiting the third.

Nice playing, nice tone... very well defined, and it has a hell of a lot more balls than your common metal tones these days.... EMGS>5150.

Kickass, bro!  Loved the tune and it's a nice showcase for the MM's and ENGL.  I'm thinking that when I get the cash (and once I've actually figured out which damn ENGL I am going to get) I'll be sticking 7string MM's in my 7string and getting another 7string to stick a Nailbomb and ColdSweat into.  So many things to buy... so very little cash.  :)

Cheers thor this clip made me choose to get a miracle man bridge back in december.
