Tychobrae Octavia - there are clones out there or get someone to make you one.

I've made a Foxx Superfuzz which has a WILD fuzz tone with a switchable octave up, but I think the classic octave up is defo the Tycho.

The Fulltone Ultimate Octave is nice, Satriani and Scott henderson use it. Check out the samples on the websitehttp://www.fulltone.com/

I use a BOSS PS-5 Super Shifter for simple 8ve effects. (Though I'd rather just play the 8ve or have another guitarist play it)

Hahaha, yeah right, let's hire someone for helping out with the occasional octave, maybe in his spare time he can also change strings or polish the nickel hardware of the guitars  :P

I have a pog, great fun and you can use them for +2 octaves up, octave down, detuned octaves for 12 strings, and some other stuff too. Jack white just puts every control right up for that blue orchid buzzsaw sound BUT.... it hummmmmmmmms. or maybe thats just mine, maybe i should get it checked out. theres also a HOG now with more buttons than a 747.

^ How many buttons would that be? :P

TBH, I'd prefer something less complicated or I'd prolly end up exploding it or something

+1 for the Fulltone Ultimate Octave.  Use that and the DejaVibe for "Machine Gun," and let the bullets start flyin'!

Apparently the Danelectro French Toast is basically the original Foxx pedal (story has it that one of the Danelectro head honchos was the guy who used to own Foxx).

The Tychobrae is a duplication (with some mistakes) of the original Mayer Octavia pedal.

If you want octave owithout the fuzz there are severals but it it ain't got Fuzz it's not so interesting to me.

Mk1 digitech Whammys are supposed to be the best of the whammy family.

I highly recommend MJM for your octavia check this link out, it's the Roctavios pedal and I own one, it's virtually impossibel to find an original tycobrane, I wouldnt bother trying. http://www.mjmguitarfx.com/mjm_roctavios_octaver.html this octave can get me that hendrix 'band of gypsies' sound no problem, and it's extremley responsive to your guitars volume control, to the point where you can make it sound like a ring modulator pedal. It's just sweet and rich in sound every time I use it! love it to bits

*Epic thread ressurection*

I'm thinking of getting the EH Micropog. Anyone have an experience with them?

Digitech Whammy Pedal for octave fun - I just love the 'character' of this pedal. It tracks badly, but sounds so good doing it!

or the Dunlop or Fulltone Octavia style pedals are awesome if you want that Fuzzy Hendrix tone.
