Title: Indie pickup
Post by: Jonesy on July 18, 2006, 08:53:06 PM
In the bridge of an SG, which pickup do u reckon would be best for a kind of indie/ punk rock type sound...think 'float on' by Modest mouse or 'Superman' by Goldfinger...so quite sparkly

Any help would be appreciated

And on Davey's logic you'd be best off wedging a pair of Mississippi Queens in there :)

goldfinger-superman sounds pretty low output like a stormy monay, or maybe a mule/riffraff

Cheers guys...ye, I was thinking of maybe a riff raff bridge with stormy monday neck...but the Mississippi queen neck on my other guitar sounds sooo good

The Mule is always good, but I'd say eitehr the MQ or Riff Raff could be spot on.
