Hi
Basically I'm trying to find a desk for my home computer music studio, it has to be able to put a big ass 88 key keyboard on it. Does anyone here have a similar setup (pc, keyboard, monitors)? I'm even contemplating building my own but I think that might be a bit silly as I haven't cut wood since CDT back in high school :D
Any ideas would be fantastic
Cheers

Damn same here, been using this Japanese kotatsu (a table with a heater under it, for winter with no central heating! sitting on the floor cross legged as I type) not ideal but can't seem to find anything else the right size, all computer desks are too narrow to fit monitors on. I've been wanting to build my own too but my girlfriend has finally said 'use that!' 8) I still want a proper height and sized one so homebuilt might be the only way :?

I presume you have thought of but rejected the idea of getting a keyboard stand and a separate table for the computer- t'would seem to me to be an easier option. I have an 88 key Korg stage piano here and getting a desk or table for that would take up way too much space but on the stand, it is not too bad plus you have space for the sustain pedal etc.

www.middleatlantic.com for the desk

They have may configurations and are built really well (I have had one of their desks for years).[/url]

I forgot to mention I live in the Uk, all these places you guys reccomend are in America. 38thBeatle the main reason I want a desk as opposed to stand+desk is because I want to be right in front of the screen when I'm playing composing. I used to have a stand+desk but it was such a pain in the ass having to turn around every time I needed to change anything and also the the monitors are side by side of the screen which makes its hard for stereo stuff.

The companies are American, but I'm certain you can find them in England.

Try Quik-Lok from turnkey or Digital Village.
