You have a great sound on the clips - I noticed that you play witout a pick.  Have you always played that way?

Are the pickups the underwound apaches that you had mentioned you were getting?  The guitar looks great - I have 2 white strats so I am a big fan, though both of mine have the white scratchplate.

How is the wiring set up - you saaid you have a master volume and tone and a blend?  Do you have a 3 way or 5 way switch?  Do you use the blend to bring in the middle pickup?

Hi Phil,

Thank you so much for your comments;

- Plectrum; I used to play with a plectrum but I kind of felt that I was missing something. So about a couple of years ago I starterd playing with my bare fingers exclusively. I haven't finished developing my technique yet  but I feel that I won't be looking back. Plectrums  feel so plasticy and artificial once you've tried with your fingers for long enough....

- Pickups; The p/us are the underwound Apaches, that's right. They sound terrific. Keep in mind I recored the clip using a tiny digital amp. Besides the camera built-in mike is not fantastic either. In the flesh the guitar sounds  better for sure.

- The wiring is not the regular Strat wiring  in the sense that I use a CTS 250k vol pot , then a no-load master tone pot  500k CTS with a 47 Hovland cap for an ultra soomth taper, and a Fralin Blender pot so I can mix the bridge and the neck pickup at will. The selectot is a megaswitch made by Schaller ( 5 positions ).

Hope this helps.

;)

It was made by a guy in Malaga ( Southern Spain ) named Enrique García. He's terrific and not expensive either. He's incredibly busy though as you can imagine.
