Title: Chops Challenge -- Descending Triplets
Post by: TwilightOdyssey on July 31, 2006, 03:43:49 PM
Hi all,

Time for a new chops challenge!

This one is a descending triplet line in the key of Em.

> Set your metronome for 90-100 bpm to start this riff, and work your way up to 120 bpm or beyond.

> You can palm mute the notes for that shreddy metal kind of sound.

> Play the line descending and then back up again. Then play it on strings 4-3, 5-4, and 6-5. It's a great warm up exercise for both hands!

If they're triplets shouldn't they be grouped in threes?

I might give it a go later on today.  Thanks for posting it.  :)

Hey, what does "Acient" mean?   :P

Cool.  I wasn't trying to be smart.  I was wondering about it.  I figured that triplets would have different accents to playing sextuplets.
