Hi all, first timer here. Placing an order this week for my first set!
Question: What actually is the black coating on the covered sets?
Im being a bit picky here but in the gallery some of the matt cover finishes look dimply.
Can i order a gloss black set, if so is it "black" chrome like the chrome/gold sets are or something different?
Yes i know nooby questions are a pain!
Any help guys, much apprciated!

Welcome.
Don't know the answer.
This really is something you should PM Tim on; he makes em, not us forum bros!

It is powder coating, hence the slight dimpling effect.
As told to me by Tim and as on mine.

Powder is cool 8)
(slightly random)

It really is. The "dimpling" can be seen very well in the gallery pic of the Black Covered Warpig. Very nice. My Miracle Man/ Cold Sweat set have black covers like these. Needless to say, very nice look, very nice sound. I would reccommend going with gold polepieces...VERY CLASSY.

My black covered Crawlers are actually very shiny and no dimples.
They look exactly like this:

That's just like my MM set! With the logo and nickel poles.

All good! Tim is a very cool guy, powder coating it is! Im getting a custom natural flame airbrushed guitar and the guy whos doing it is going to paint over these black covers for me, (whispy red flames) should be one of a kind MM set.
Was also suprised to hear Tim say the MM in the neck sounds gorgeous clean as well, glad to hear it.

Is there a way to make black pickup covers that are not shinny, and have a grainy texture to it? Kind of like EMG's?
