I a/b'ed my two strats today - thought people might like to hear the comparison of the same surf riff:
First riff: Apache bridge, 2003 Mex 60's Classic Strat, alder body, rosewood board
Second Riff: Mother's Milk bridge, 1983 Squier JV 1962 r/i strat, probably basswood body, rosewood board.
Guitarport Fender Twin setting, reverb, 'blue' (i.e. boss) compressor and opto tremolo.
Mixed in Mixcraft
(sorry about the clipping)

They sound lovely and that!
I know that tune but can't put me finger on it!
Nice one man and nice playing!
:D

Are those riffs off the fructis hair stuff adverts or sumthing lol?
Nice tone btw...off course

Sounds great Elliott though my PC speakers are not good enough to discern any real difference I shall listen to it on headphones. Great post.
-
to my ears the apaches sound...quite a bit better than mother's milk...
-
Listened to it on headphones now and both pups sound great but I have a particular fondness for the Apaches cos I know just how great they are.
-
I prefer the Mothers Milks in this clip, seem warmer and more full.

mothers sound better than the apaches in that clip..... imo..
