want a single coil say a mothersmilk, inside a humbucker metal casing(so I don't need to mess with trying to find a new pickgard(as is non standard)...also if poss as well angled inside said casing like most bridge fender singles are?

I did see this done once, only it was like a block that the (angled) single fitted in, rather than a humbucker case.

I'm positive it can be done, like what Sifu Ben said. I've seen them like that too it should be simple to put on a cover.

i shot a pm to tim a few weeks ago about this..
basicaly.. it would be VERY dificult to mount it onto the cover.

couldnt you just put in a dummy bobbin next to the single coil????

I think the coil shape will be different so it won't sound like a true single, if you use humbucker-style bobbins.

What about a humbucker sized mounting ring? Allparts make them:
