It turns back on? but theres no sound all the tubes are light up?
anyone any ideas.. no fuse blew or anything just went kinda "humph" then stopped making noise..
-
it's making a slight humming noise when it's turned on and vibrates slightly...
-
Output transformer possibly?
What make/model is it?
-
Carlton Camel..
The company dont exist anymore and they're extremely rare..

Have you checked the fuses?
The HT fuse may have decided to call it a day.
What colour are the power amp valves glowing?
It might be an idea to get it checked in to your local amp tech.
-
it was the HT fuse.. is that the one inside the chasis?
I had a load of marshall slo-blo fuses left what ever they are.
-
You should have 2 main fuses accessable from the rear panel of the amp, the mains fuse (a T2A on my Marshall), and a HT fuse (a T500mA on the Marshall).
Sounds like it might be an idea to book it in with the local amp tech.

If it was the HT fuse, that's usually a sign of a blown output valve or a dodgy valve base.
