Maybe it's time for an "Off Topic" Room, Tim? :)

I must admit I'm new to forums Ben, the web guy is working on getting the sound clips sorted so we can post in the players section and is looking at the log in thing but 'off topic' where does it go? :?

You would just have it be another room in the forum, like PICKUPS, PLAYERS, etc ... that's where all the threads that don't apply to any strict subject like AMPS would go ... like CD reviews, general questions, gig alerts, etc ...

It's a German tank.

We were originally called 'Tyrant' but we found out several other bands have them name.

When searching for a new name we came across a photo in the local library.  It was a close up shot of a tank.  It looked very heavy and menacing.  It was a 'Jagdpanzer' tank.

We were thinking only locally and we thought that no one in Colorado could pronounce this, so we dropped the 'd' and made it 2 words - Jag Panzer.

It's worked out very well, because if you search the net for 'Jag Panzer' all you get is pages on the band.

That story is very metal! (In more ways than one) ...
Title: Now I know!

Thanks Mark-I sussed the Panzer bit just lost on the Jag. Over here we have Jaguar cars so I was picturing this high class tank!!

I'm just about to start some writing work with the original Cradle of Filth guitar player. When he was at college I taught him guitar and his and my band used to gig all the time together. He went off and did Cradle, I went and did Elkie Brooks  .........he called up a few weeks ago so we're gonna go and revisit some classic metal territory and see what happens. Looking forward to it.

Will do...I'm quite excited about it. We haven't played together for years so it'll be really interesting to see who does what.

Hey Tim!

I'm loving your vision of a Jaguar Tank man. It would have the best interior of any tank. Walnut dash and Connoly Hide on the drivers seat!

Classic.............JTM45.
