Title: short track using Mules
Post by: _tom_ on August 22, 2006, 04:12:05 PM
Heres something I've been working on for a day or two, I havent finished it yet, I will probably re do all the playing as its not amazing. I'm going through my normal recording setup, all the rhythm is bridge Mule, the short lead is the neck Mule. Hope you like it :D

PS - it needs a name, any ideas? I'm useless at naming songs. Constructive criticism would be nice as well :)

Cheers

Great meaty tone!  I hate giving constuctive criticism... maybe less reverb?  Sorry!

I would call the song "Orange Sherbert Highway".

I must've overdone the reverb I added to the drums, I dont really use much reverb on the guitar tracks. Orange Sherbert Highway? Any reason in particular for that title? Cheers :D

Not really, it just popped in to my head.  You could probably put that track on while cruising down the highway + eating orange sherbert ice cream!

JJRetro, my browser has a pop-up blocker which prevents it from working, but it does have a link that says 'if you have a pop-up blocker click here'... and then it's fine.
I don't know if that helps

Tom, great tune and the note separation in the chords is wonderful! I love that kind of sound.

great stuff Tom-That would make a great track-I was expecting Paul Rodgers to join in at some point.I was humming a nice bass line along with that.

Good track and great tone !

No criticism required, but I was just getting into the lead playing when it went back to Rythmn.

As for title, definately something to do with cruising down the open road with the top down.

"Freehand on the freeway"

" Blacktop wrangler "

etc...

Regards,

Derek.
