I'm going to a rock & roll party tomorrow!!! One of the coolest rock & roll bands will be there to make us dance! :band4: The place is called Wigwam Rock Club. I've never been there but it looks promising. ;)
Large dance floor

Rock&roll all night! :D Will dance some jive with my partner, too. We might as well make up some boogie improvisations, lol... never learnt boogie but it looks very similar to r'n'r - playful, dynamic, lots of fun! :)

Glad to see you survived Sundays storm.
Cheers! Quite surprising you know about it. :o I decided to stay at home and watch the fireworks on TV because I saw the storm alert on the internet. I mean, the figures said a deadly storm would reach Budapest just at the beginning of the fireworks. :x I wonder why those who were responsible for the program hadn't asked for a forecast... 5 people died, hundreds were injured... :?

The way I heard it, the organizers were notified shortly before the event
but went ahead anyway. I was amazed they actually continued till the end
of the fireworks with the street lights off. Bunch of knuckleheads. Seeing
some after photos I'm surprised there weren't more deaths.

Now about last night. The music was great, the atmosphere was great but she just wasn't into it. At first, the concert started 1 1/2 hours later than indicated on the website, well, at least we had time to chat. She had a very bad day, got up very early in the morning, and she was quite sensitive already. We've been dancing together for half a year and this was the first time she didn't really enjoy it... :? Tried to cheer her up but she was tired to death. Didn't want to leave her alone, either. We danced through four or maybe five songs then left. She felt terrible for that.
I'll take someone else to the party next week...

Sorry to hear that your night fizzled out…it happens. At least it wasn't a one
time event.
Are your grandparents Hungarian? :o
:drink: Yeah. So is the rest of my family and so am I. Came here in '74 and became a citizen in'84.
