Hi all just looking for some advice. I am considering changing the pickups in my Gibson SG standard as they lack the power and tone I am looking for. After listening to a lot of samples I'm thinking the Warpig sounds awesome for the bridge, but Im unsure what would work best for the neck. My band plays a lot of Guns n Roses, Ozzy, Whitesnake etc, and I would like to be able to get a really sweet sustaining tone from the neck for solos.
Any advice would be much appreciated cheers!

Maybe Calibrated Custom Warpig set. Sound sweet in my explorer. Neck is basically a Cold Sweat and is very much what you describe.

Cheers Dakine the Cold Sweat does sound great I'll definitely have to consider it now!

Calibrated set of Crawlers might suit you well...

Yeah, the Crawlers or even Rebel Yells might work well here. If you want a ceramic bridge pickup, the Cold Sweat would be a good choice, but for those bands .... mmm, I'd plunk for Alnico. Crawlers can get you a good Slashy tone, and are good for Whitesnake I'd say. Cranked up, they'd handle a decent metalish tone for Ozzy songs, I think.

don't get warpigs - you just don't need them. i say rebel yells. Maybe even a VHII!
