Title: Lo-Pro Edge or Edge Pro Tremelo?
Post by: Crazy_Joe on August 24, 2006, 05:22:15 PM
Which do you prefer?

I have only played a Lo-Pro Edge and it was pretty damn cool, and usually you can't beat the classics. But i could be wrong...

Lo-Pro is good, but I prefer the original Edge  :)

The original Edge is way better than the current version, but not better than the Lo Pro.

I find the original Edge sits a little more comfortably under my hand than the Lo-Pro but there's not a huge difference. I think the Edge looks better too, I like the long saddle string bolts. The new ones are so low profile it's as if they don't exist.

Of the new Ibanez trems, the ZR is worth a look.  I don't like the Edge Pro (new trem) as much as the old Edge+Lo Pro trems, though.

I've got to say I am a fan of the original Edge and Lo-Pro, but neither have nearly the trem return and intonation of all the Edge Pros that I have had the pleasure of setting up lately... they are just perfect.  There was a bad batch of them however when they were first released, but aside from them, I'm an Edge Pro fan all the way!

...I think too many people have some sort of emotional attachments to the original Edge trems or something...
