yeah, i want to try one bad. Not too sure about the price, though, but if it's good enough...

I also realised, after I came home, that there was a shop well within range of me when I was in London a month ago. Bugger.

I also want to try a splawn quick rod. that'll be a bit harder though... :(

I've done business with the guy that imports these amps into the UK (bought my Tyler off him). A1 chap to deal with.

Mojave have an excellent reputation. Good luck on your quest to try and hopefully buy one. :)

I don't have any personal experience with the amps, but I have been told from a couple of players that the Mojaves reach that lovely, crunchy sound only when they are cranked up loud; when they are not, they just sound OK. As with everything, play before you pay, especially at the price of a Mojave (the US price on their website).

I hate you!

I was just sooooo happy with my Shiva (which does sound AWESOME), but now I'm back on heavy GAS, after just 2 weeks!

how could you do that ...

don't the mojaves have "power dampening" though, which (according to them, at least, the proof's in the pudding, obviously) isn't just attenuation, but actually lowering the wattage, so you can get the cranked tone at down to 5W (for the 100W model) and down to like 1W for the lower wattage models?

that's the one thing that really draws me to them, to be honest. Attenuation is fine, but at really high levels (i.e. the amount needed to get, say, a 100 watter down to bedroom level) it really starts to suck tone. It's fine for, say, getting a cranked 50 watter down to like medium gig levels... maybe.

That Coyote looks exactly what the doctor ordered (in my case) but I think the bank manager would hate me :(

As for the Scorpion, is there anything that George Lynch dosn't endorse ?(jeez whats he do hang out on street corners ?)

Rob... (ducks for cover)

that scorpion does sound awesome! it's a great rock tone, reminds me of the tone of the Custom Audio OD100 heads, which for me are absolutley the best of the best, but now you may have just changed my mind! the scorpion sounds like the perfect rock amp, I hadn't even heard of Mojave before this post, thanks a lot man.

being that the Mojave stuff is basically variations on Plexis and AC30s they WILL sound average at lower volumes.

that's why I like 5-10 watt class A amps so much!

I mean Joe Perry and Noel Gallager use them to record entire albums, low watt class A amps never have this problem and it's a load of het hem....BULL that they are not loud enough.

I know this is going off the subject a bit but just thought I'd pop it in here as it is about amps. I really love old harmonica amps, they're so rich in tone, but I am a PIG for nasally blues rawness. OINK! OINK!

Price and Volume, both issues you'd have to deal with.

But yeah, $%&# then pension and the neighbours, this is worth it!

seriously, how many times do I have to post that they have POWER DAMPENING!?!? and that volume, unless you live on the 5th floor of an apartment block, will probably be fine?

Ok, 5 watts is still loud-ish, but it's not 100 watts worth of loud...

obviously, maybe the power dampening is not as good as mojave says it is, but if it is...
