I've just put a Piledriver Bridge pickup into my Tokai Breezysound :D
The Neck and Bridge pickups are working fine individually, however the combined tone is very nasal - phase reversal ??
I've tried swapping the hot and the ground lead conections over on the bridge pickup to the back of the volume pot and 3-Way selector. When I do this I don't get a signal from the pickup.
Any suggestions what I should try next
Cheers
Chris

Chris - that should have fixed it - so something is amiss
Have you got a digital camera
Why not photo the electronics and we will see if there is an obvious answer
I could be cheeky and suggest a BKP neck pickup which would be a treat, but maybe outside of your budget

Thanks for the reply Feline
I think I've found the source of my woe, it's the 3 way selector switch.
I have to joggle it about to get any tone out of it !
I'm off to the Cumbrian Guitar show on monday so I'll pick one up there. Might even go the whole hog and get a 4 way switch !
A change of neck pickup may not be necessay, it's already a scatter wound one in the traditional way - but by a German Miester

Cool
If you can't get the switch you want - either Tim, myself or WD can help you out.
The 4 way switch will require that you remove the existing eath wire from the metal casing of the neck pickup and run an extra wire just from that - so that you can do the series link for the two pickups

Cheers Feline
Not only was the 3-Way dodgy but there was a sneeky little ground wire from the bridge to the back of the volume pot. This was cancelling out the bridge pickup totally when I reversed the wires.
The answer was to switch the hot and ground wires on the neck pickup ! Doh
The stock 3-way switch has a plastic cover which I've opened up and raised the contact points - now that's working too :D
