just playing about with the rhythm part of a song, lead part will be played over the top of the quiet parts, once i've written it
oh and a solo might make an appearance if i can be bothered to write one
rig is Epi LP with Black Dog bridge (coil-split) -> ZVEX Fuzz factory -> Marshall AVT150X
lemme know what you think...
(apologies for not-so-good recording)
EDIT: OK, uploaded an updated clip (rhythm2.mp3) with slightly louder "quiet" bits, used the overdrive on the amp throughout now, and used the fuzz to make is slightly louder, instead of using the volume on the guitar...

I think the track has potential but if you want me to be honest then I think the changes between the clean and fuzz is way too dynamic! you could do with putting mild compression on it to stop this, making the quiet bits louder and the loud bits quieter. Apart from that it's a good musical idea, very grungy and early Nirvana, hope this helps you in some way or another. bye

well the quiet parts are so quiet because there is no other guitar yet, and i'm probably going to replace them completely with bass, then the lead parts would be louder anyway
but thanks for the comments :D:D

Are your pickups picking up radio signals Caffine_Junkie ?
I can hear the BBC Sports announcer in the background reporting on Bristol City's huge match on Saturday !!!
Keep working on your riff, it's coming along nicely.
Try playing to a click track or metronome to tighten up your timing.

LOL, no that's the fuzz factory, i need to sort out the amount of background noise, as i am using slightly more sedate settings on it atm

And to sudden. I think I would suggest throwing a bridge part inbetween ;)
