so i thought it was time to start a thread about pets ...  mainly because i have a couple of pictures i just took which are particularly cute :D:D

so, here he is

I don't have proper pics of my own pets but here's a pic of a little westie I'm buying a friend this Friday. She always wanted a little white dog and instantly fell in love with the little guy when she saw him so I booked him. Now we're waiting till he becomes 6 weeks old and receives a chip and the necessary shots. :D It's a shame I can't have a second dog.

Meet Dweezil.  Spends most of her time asleep or eating the heads off rabbits (or asleep on my side of the bed if the nearly wifey goes to bed before I do).

Buksi, my grandparents' dog, he's 15 years old...

...and Vörcsi, their cat. That's what Garfield would look like, if he lost some weight.

she broke her leg just above the ankle, about 3 days after i'd done the same!  fortunately my doctor wasn't quite as enthusiastic an amputator as hers.

we were actually pretty apalled when she came back from the vet and they'd taken off the whole leg, i really don't think it was necessary.  the break had refused to heal so an amputation was needed, but i think they went just a bit too far.  she's not quite the cat she was, but it's amazing how quickly they adapt.

actually, people come to our house and think it's a freak show!  there's her, and another cat with only one eye! and we used to have one with no tail!

cats without tails are the best, foster lost his when he tried to play chicken with oncoming traffic, and now it's great watching him try and jump from a tree branch to the fence without any balance whatsoever

Here is my step-cat Sylvie (AKA WMPP- worlds most perfect puddy)
Easily startled - hence the expression.
Needs a lot of grooming - smoke grey longhaired Persian

That's the difference between cats and dogs. Dogs have masters, cats have servants.

Yeah but a cat would never chew on a bollard. Hours of fun can be had watching dogs do stupid things.

well, foster eats cardboard boxes, which was great fun while we were moving, as everytime we went to put something in a box, he was there already

I give it to cats nothing moves faster than an angry cat, plus they have mad half hours every now and again when they do freaky running around on the carpet.

^ lol, yeah, we had the wonderful idea of getting a collar with a bell on it, so we know when he's running around like a maniac, and also it great fun when he rolls over in his sleep as it rattles and scares the cr@p out of him

if you leave a crisp packet on the ground, the cat will stick it's head in, then start walking backwards, trying to shake the bag off!  slightly cruel, but hilarious!!

I am lucky I have a brainless and utterly devoted dog and a cool cat (that freaks out with the carpet thing every now and again)...funny they seem to be a reflection of me and my missus....now where is that bollard??

that and putting a cat treat at the bottom of a polystyrene cup, gets stuck on his nose

I used to have a lovely dog called Sadie- after the Beatle track "Sexy Sadie"( RIP I still miss you girl) and once, when I went out, she got her head stuck in a transparent plastic biscuit barrel that had been left on the floor with crumbs in the bottom. I was out about 10 minutes and came back to find her getting very agitated with it on her face( she was a very well bred Staffordshire Bull Terrier btw) and it was hard not to laugh.Didn't stop her scrounging though!
