Hello,
I have a problem with my PC. I suspect it's the motherboard (cheap stuff) but I'm interested in every possible solution.
When I switch the computer on, the fans start but there's nothing on the screen. Reset doesn't work, I need to switch the power supply off to turn the PC off. The same problem has occured before but after some restarts the PC would run properly - the screen said the computer had failed to boot several time before, press F2 etc. etc. I hadn't had this problem for a week but today I decided to put a PCI soundcard back so I rearranged the other PCI cards (a USB and a Firewire card) according to their size for optimal cooling (there's a fan on the bottom of the case). When I switched the computer back it didn't want to boot just like before.
It's not the power supply - the same problem has occured before with another PS as well, both with or without UPS. It's not the hard disk either, Checkdisk didn't find any errors. It's not the PCI slots - I removed all the PCI cards but that didn't solve my problem.
It's quite an annoying situation. :? Have you had this problem before?

Cheers! I took the whole PC apart and put it together again piece by piece. Tightened the connectors as well (some were rather loose). Now everything works perfectly. :D

I was about to say, I actually just experienced this, my problem was that the main connecter to the motherboard from the PSU had a loose wire in the plastic grip.
Got it fixed, but getting a new one to aquaint for my new GPU.
