Dear Tim,
Which humbucker of yours would you recommend for a modern hard-rock tone? This time it's not my guitar but the one of my friend's. The guitar's rather bright-sounding based on its materials. Would it be the Nailbomb?

We make several high gain models-Nailbomb, Miracle Man, Warpig, even the Cralwer and Holydiver models really pack a punch.
What sort of guitar is it and exactly what style does he play?

I've asked him about that: It's quite a heavy alder Strat w/ maple fretboard. It has a rather bright sound acoustically when compared to other Strats. Its trem is set floating so maybe there's a little bit smaller bass response, I don't know...
He plays mainly prog.metal/hard rock á la Dream Theater. He'd like something that balances out the brightness of his Strat and simply sounds HUGE. :) He has an amp with a modern/compressed hi-gain channel, I think it's a Bogner or something similar.

Nailbomb??

Nailbomb for huge organic tone, Miracle Man for tight focused tone with smoother mids. For all out shred, the Warpig takes some beating.

Thanks Tim. I'll tell him.

I have a strat but with an ash body. Would you go with the same recomendations? I was thinking about the Miracle Man or the Nail Bomb. Thanks.
-
Nailbomb-the mids will hold up better in the ash body whereas the ceramic Miracle Man could come across a touch toppy.

Thanks :D
