OK, having a clear out as need space.
Have over 200 LP's, EP's,Singles,Picture Discs.
Off to a shop today to let a trader give me a price.
Now, thing is wondered if any of you have much exp.?
I have a few which may be worth more than few quid.
Motley Crue shaped Pic discs, Helter Skelter Pic EP.
Also, alot of Metallica EP's,Pic EP's and different albums.
Main one is though (and damn hard to find info. online but what have indicates is RARE.

Metallica 'Metal Up Your Ass' Live Double LP, Unnoficial Bootleg (sued and stopped by Metallica. Black vinyl with white label. Unplayed, mint condition. Headbangers Records Inc., Mixed at Musicland Studio's, Produced by Rough Mouse. Found (non) white label one on web that sold for hundreds.

Any advice/info greatly received as this is NOT my forte.

Collection goes from obscure (Smashed Gyadys) to mainstream (Dokken) to hard (ANthrax,Accept,Metallica).

Also, have first single by Def Leppard, ALL 12"'s,singles,Pic Discs from Hysteria era. etc.

Some rare, some cr@p guess.

Nick

I'd suggest whacking them all on ebay and then advertising them on as many forums as possible. That way, tunes that would normally go to a trader for 25p or so can go for a few quid. Any that don't sell on ebay take to a trader after re-listing them at least once. It's more time and hard work but the financial rewards are much higher. I tend to avoid selling records to traders, they will only offer you a really terrible price as this is how they make a profit.

Well, back from shop.
Sold the lot (bear in mind, to my mind, only the picture discs and some albums are worth much anyway, had ALOT of one 'one album wonders' cr@p).
Anyway, sold lot for £140. Not too bad seeing as had no hassle myself now.
Did'nt sell 'Metal Up Your Ass' Metallica. He/I gonna research that more as IS worth alot more £££££££££££.

You would probably have been better off selling the more collectible items to someone that deals in metal memorabilia than a vinyl dealer.

^ did'nt find one local (dealer sold to is punk/metal based anyway) and was not into shipping the weight of that lot. Also, if having to drive gas came into it. Happy with what I got, only few were (to my mind 'that' collectable) just wanna try and see what the Metal Up Your Ass is worth, any suggestions?

Find the magazine Goldmine. It will have what you're looking for.
Invaluable resource for vinyl junkies, such as myself.

Found some info.
The coloured ones (red anyways) are a Music For Nations limited reissue.
Mine is the original 'sued by Metallica and shut down' bootleg.
prices seem to range from $60 to $100+

For a somewhat belated reply, Record collector is always a good bet for pricing issues, it's usually stocked by WH Smiths
