We've got loads of users like that on my sites' forums - people just tend to do that. I agree, it is strange.

There have been so many threads and posts that many will get enough info from just reading

Not everybody feels the need to post stuff, just happy to read and learn.

I post a fair bit here because as a guitar maker and repairer with 20 years experience I maybe have some expertise or knowledge worth sharing.

I have also made new friends and new customers (and some who are both) here so it has been very valuable to me.

But I still learn new stuff here and am grateful when I do - keeps it fresh an meaningful when I do
