Would I be right in thinking Rebel Yells would be the most suitable for Crue sounds?
Also, what kind of guitar would you put them in? Mick Mars is mostly pictured with his white 70's strat with a floyd attached, but sometimes he has a LP custom aswell...oh, and that supertele...
EDIT: So many viewings and no answers? is this a tough question, does noone like the crue or am i being foolish?

What about Holy Divers, or Crawlers. I don't know so i don't know why i am recommending them lol
-
I'd have said Crawlers or maybe Holydivers, but I'm sure RYs'll do it to.

i'd say Rebel Yell would be in the right ballpark, assuming you're talking Doctor Feelgood type massive sound. back then i think he used charvel guitars, on stage at least. before that i seem to recall him toting a BC Rich Warlock. and he always tuned down to D. i suppose Holy Diver would suit the earlier Too Fast For Love sound.

Holy Divers would work well but the Rebel Yell would actually work very well too
Secret is also tro have a very loud valve amp with not too much gain
i was a die hard Motley fan from about early 1982 when the first Lp came out on the Leathur label
Great fun it was too - the Elektra re-release is no comparison
The original can still be got as part of the "Music to crash your car to" compilation (Volume 1)
