I saw these guys in LA in January and they were amazing
The live show was more VH than I remember VH being (I saw the Roth lineup in 1984).
They do suffer with lineup problems as Dave Lee Roth keep pinching their guitarists for his own band
The singer Ralph Saenz (who was briefly in LA Guns) also has another band called Metal Skool doing 1980s rock covers but seems to do DLR best!

:D Holy F**** that guys more Dave Lee Roth Than DLR was !!
Great band wish i`d seen `em
:D 8)
PS also saw VH with Roth in`84 [ Donnington ]
-
he sounds just like him. Thats rad
-
And I bet their guitarist can keep a vocalist too!
-
Their vocalist was in the movie Rockstar too.... he was the other vocalist trying out for the band.
-
Their guitarist plays Wayne guitars, if memory serves. Dunno if he uses Splawn amps or not. I know several VH tribute bands that do, tho.

I too saw VH in '84 in Venice Beach CA. Eddie was fresh then, an inovator using new techniques to create new sounds in rock. The Atomic Punks sound is dead on and if they do originals they may go far.

awww man he even does the karate kicks!! hahahahahaha..
That looks like a great performance, why dont bands rock out like that anymore??

Some still do .......although the current trend does seem to mope around and look miserable (I blame Coldplay for that)
-
(I blame Coldplay for that)
"Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling..
Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes...
The dead rising from the grave...
Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria..."
I blame Coldplay for EVERYTHING! (except Bird Flu - That's James Blunt's fault)
(BTW: Can you place that 80s quote?)
-
:D Ghost busters !
I also blame Cold Play but to be fare US Metal bands also need to be blamed as they`ve taken all the Fun outta Metal.
Still all of thats starting to change [ yipee ! ]

Thats becasue it's politically incorrect to enjoy yourself, Coldplay even removed my loce of Telecasters :(
On topic I'd love to see Atomic Punks live, be more enjoyable than putting up with that misrible git Eddie.
Rob...
I see Ed claims that he has a lab about to release a cancer cure, and that it wasn't the smoking that caused problems it was holding a metal giutar pick in his mouth WTF ?

Yah, these guys are f-ing AMAZING. I saw them a couple of years ago, and I couldn't believe how good they were. I should go check out their Metal Skool show, too. I drive by the club everyday on my way to and from work.

(Metal Skool with American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson)
If anyone gets to L.A., go see them:
