iīm back in the forum.
well, i would like Know/Hear if anyone of you have or Could Record a soundclip with a Nailbomb, The Mule, MiracleMan,Holydiver or Warpig with the following gear, or something near that : Marshall jcm 2000, 900 or 800. Mesa boogie dual rectfier or triple rectfier. Peavey 5150 or triple xxx.
Yes and of course, High gain soundclip. no reduced or scooped middles.
no drums, bass or effects. just The Guitar and the amps distortion. :lol:

Yah, thankīs for the reply tim, iīve heard them, but it has a lot of other instruments, and i can figure out the tone Better with just the guitar and distortion. Q:)

Hey JP, welcome back.
I've got a Miracle Man and a Nailbomb loaded at the moment, I could do some basic clips easily, but it'd be with a Guitar Port 'cause both my Marshalls are in bits and I doubt the Super Reverb will have enough gain....
Also the pups are in different types of guitars.
I also have a VHII that sounds great, could do that too.

the VHII is an in teresting pickup. yeah, add it to the pickup clip list

yAH, I preffered the Miracle man over the VHII and the Nailbomb.

NOW, my comments on the sounds: :p
the nailbomb seems to have a more organic and open sound.
the miracle man is tightier AND more focused. both have good amount of mids. i LOVED that .
The VHII is not tight and is more vintage, crunchy, creamy sound. more crispy midle/bass .
I Liked Both Miracle Man And NailbomB sound.
the Organic Factor of the Nailbom Attracts Me, and the tight bottom end and crunchy of miracle man too.
now i just have to listen to the unholy Warpig. ahahahah
to decide. iīm more inclined, at least for those HJM soundclips,to get a Miracle Man bridge .... but i need more soundclips.

I liked the NB better on this clip. More organic and fuller (on the lead part). And it is not because I own one!
All the 3 soundclips sound a bit "synthetic" (not a critic, just an opinion).

and i already thank him for it, but i have to be true to myself, that the soundclips need more riffs for me too see what i want on the pickups sound.

Ah. and just to complement the msg...
if i want to buy a pickup, i need soundclips that sounds CLose from what aplicattions and musical styles i will play with them... AND.. if the idea of the forum is promoting BK pickups, nothing better than spread the pickups sounds to newbies like me.
just to finish the msg, and ... i am not asking for a 10 minute clip that is hard as hell to be done and etc... i am asking a little clip, with just the right ammount of riffs so i can realize how the pickups sound and i will choose one... thereīs nothing better for a company thAN Conquer a customer like me, that spread their product to the 7 GATES OF HELL(EARTH) and will bring more customers/clients that are possible buyers of BK Pickups.
so, this little additional effort will worth , right?

Iīm still deciding Between a miracle man, a warpig and maybe nailbomb.

Another quick clip - not much time so one take, even snaped a string on the Nailbomb one...(strings are old on the nailbomb guitar, usually a little brighter sounding!)
this time it's my JCM800 with Wylde overdrive, through a Palmer PDI-05 and a bit too much reverb from logic!
I'll try and do some more clips in a few weeks, I'm off to Canada!

As for HJM's clips, the format was really handy; I could A/B them like a charm. My personal Pepsi Challenge revealed I like the MM on rhythm but the NB on lead -- ah, why should life be simple, after all? :) HJM: I assume the MM was in the same guitar as your other MM clips? What was the Nailbomb in?

MM is in the Charvel, set neck Mahogany/maple body.
Nailbomb is in my Ibanez RG - same guitar Tim used for the BKP Nailbomb demo.

BALANCED amp eq. HIGH Gain, or at least, a good ammount of it. cause my righ hand is devils arrow, and the left hand is the devilīs path to hell. follow me and get buried in tonal satanic LUST

Hello, how ya doing in steaming Brazil? 8) I see your having to make the decision I've made recently. From what I've learned here the Warpig will give you more bass and the miracle man will be a tighter bass. I played all 3 that you have enquired about at the London Guitar Show in May this year. For me if you want that massive hit you in the chest palm muted thump that feels like it could knock you out then get a Miracle Man. I did and I can tell you it's incredible. Too bad my Koch Powertone II Head and 4x12 cab haven't been despatched yet. (another 2 weeks :( ) Patients is a virtue, so they tell me :!: :wink: They are overcome with orders worldwide for it. If it were with me now I'd post a clip of it! On saturday(if all goes well) I will get the sound card for my p.c that will allow a direct input of a guitar. It has on board effects. I don't know what the effects are like as it's incidental that it's equipped with them. The reason i'm getting it is to record from the amp with a loadbox (miked as well eventually, Ben!) and layer stuff over the top of other tracks. If I get a chance WITH FULL DISTORTION :twisted: I'll do what I can to help you make a decision. I love your enthusiasm, it's what drove me to do what I did and it's great to see you have the same passion for your music and guitar that I have! I'd say we should have a jam sometime but the bus doesn't go to Brazil from here! I'll learn the Painkiller riff for you if you like :wink:
And a couple of Anthrax, 'Over The Top Tone Wise' Sex Pistols Anthems for good measure. It's about time I got some riffs on the board. I can't wait. My quest for excellence is coming together very nicely. But man do you need patients. Not BKP and Feline though they were fantasticly quick considering how busy they all are. Don't make a rash decision, you need someone to post you a Warpig clip. If you ask Tim nicely he might do you a clip with his Feline :twisted: Explorer! I think that has Warpigs in it. No worrys mate!The miracle man does have a huge amount of bass. If you were good with P.A equipment I'm sure you could get these pickups with a good amp and E.Q into sub bass frequencies. Now that would be mental! The Bass on the Miracle man is more focused in my opinion. The bass on the Warpig is looser but it could be deeper. Depends what wood it goes in. Jonathon at Feline said about Tim's Explorer that it is awesome. That would be all that mahogany. If i were you I'd get the two for two guitars then you won't be thinking :idea: 'hmm what about the other one'! That's what I'm going to do anyway!

hey doods im new to these BKP's ive heard the awesum miracle man and the wicked warpig. i own a Maverick X1 with floyd rose floating tremelo system and it has a bolt in through on neck. Now im very convinced about getting miracle man because of the sheer quality in tone and that sweet crunch :D i play metal alot and dunno what should go where in the bridge or the neck? i was thinking of placing a warpig in the bridge and a miracle man in the neck or should i just get a calibrated set or a set of nailbombs? Cos the nailbomb sounds really cool too. :twisted:

I'd go for a set, Warpigs are saturated gain pickups, Nailbombs have more mid, Miracle Man sounds huge!

OK, one silly question HJM...
In a calibrated set...Miracle man Bridge / The Mule neck.
The Mule will have its output increased to not be buried by the miracle man output???

You know I don't think so...if you increase the output of a Mule, it's not a Mule anymore! The Miracle Man neck is an awesome pickup, Alnico 5 17.5k, the alnico makes all the difference.
I have a Stormy Monday with my Miracle Man, the level difference is not too bad, sounds a bit more Satriani than Zakk. But for big neck lead tone to match the Miracle Man you need at least a Nailbomb neck IMO
Calibrated sets usually refer to two pickups of the same type.

OK, here's an interesting one.
Increasing the wind of a pickup doesn't increase output..................once you get past a certain amount of winds, usually 4000 per coil on a humbucker, output doesn't go up............the tone changes and gets darker, highs roll off etc and the tone is more staurated.
Remember it's the magnet that powers the pickup...........no magnet, no volume.
A Mule won't sound quiet in comparison to a Miracle Man, the tone will be less saturated that's all..............less compressed sustain too when overdriven.

i opted to pair my MM with a mothers milk... it sounded good pairing the Nailbomb at least!!

I'm pretty much narrowed down to 2 pickups. Nailbomb in bridge or Warpig in bridge with a Mississippi queen in neck. The MM sounded great from the clip, but its just a little too tight and compressed for my taste.
