You might've seen my post in the gear section, so now that I have my rack at home I thought I should record something. No eq'ing or compressor, just the raw sound to give a realistic image of the sound.
Here ye go:
Lead Stuff:
1. Green Tinted Sixties Mind by Mr. Big
2. Sanitarium by Metallica
3. Angels don't kill by CoB
Riff Medley:
1. Battery by Metallica
2. Angel of Death by Slayer
3. Tornado of Souls by Megadeth
-
WOW at the Battery riff!!
this is so far the nearest tone to MoP tone I've heard!
there was also some Metallica stuff on the lead clip but damn... didnt pop out into my mind what it was
and after that, was is CoB? cuz it sounded very similiar
yeah, just amazing clips

good choices. Your setup sounds awesome. When I get my razorback and fit it with Warpigs i've ordered I'll try and record something.

The axe of choice:
-ESP SV Standard[/b]-
-
oh my, thats nice......
I have to ask, where the hell did you get that? I can't find any ESP that shape, except the Alexi Laiho sigs...(but even those have only one pickup. Is it a custom made model on your request?
-
That's not custom i don't think. But it is still bloody nice!
-
SV is only available to Japan and Finland. It's not an alexi signature but surely bares the resemblance to his guitars. Cost me 1800 euros, worth every cent I must say.
-
thats one fine ass guitar

that is correct
cab was miked with an Audix i5, no post processing.
-
have to admit, excellent taste in guitars there neemo. I've just decided to buy one. Whats the playability like? Is the action good. I expect it to be for an ESP.
-
The playability is excellent, but you have to get used to the neck first. It's not a toothpick like RG nor a log like a gibson 50's. Very unique but in a good way. What can I say, it's my number 1 guitar and will be for a long time :)
-
Well I got a choice, I either pick up one of those, (I saw the white model as well, also nice, but i prefer the black) or I pick up a Ibanez Prestige with thru-neck... hmmm, I'm leaning to the ESP.
-
Sorry Neemo, I have only just got around to listening to this and I am really impressed with both clips-great tone and playing.
