This is a custom model I'm making and I think that it is flawless. Any opinions on this guitar?

I don't buy barekuckles because nothing looks as sexy as $%&#ing black covered emgs.
maybe if I found covers that were totally black like the EMGs

erm.... $%&# yeh, try some out next to some EMGs, the harmonics behind each and every note is just incredible, it's hard to describe this time of day (i'm not much of a morning person)

mmm...I'll try the battle worn ones and see if they look as good... I think they will sound much better but I'm such an ass in the "sexy guitar" side :oops:

then what about just the black BKPs?? they're essentially the same as the EMG covers, except they aren't plastic, and they don't have the weird routing of the EMGs, and they don't have the cr@ppy EMG electronics underneath them

I'm firmly with CJ on this one (which is an unusual occurance lol) - BKPs are about a gajillion times better than EMGs tone wise in that they actually have tone :drink:

I like the battle worn one... but I want something "uniform" and "elegant" if you know what mean...
the warpigs look very good but too many holes x_X
I gues the totally black covered ones with allen screws would look nice... but I'm not shure...

personally i'd just go with the plain black-with-screws option, it looks amazing

unless you live in like the BEST village where everybody has BKPs, but i heard somewhere that wonderland doesn't actually exist, and that it was just alice having a dream :?

thinking about it... the war pigs ones with "too many holes" is indeed very sexy... I think I might go for the warpigs one :? but still not shure... is it a metal cover as the ones you are suggesting?

when I was looking for info on this pickups... those where the ones that most people recommend. I also asked Tim and he said the same. But I'm not shure, don't know them :? ...
I play progressive heavy metal and I'm the only guitarrist of my band and well as you know the rhoads guitars are made of Alder also... so that could mean something.

I'm pretty sure they can do closed black covers (you can buy them after-market, so I imagine Tim must do them).

Get the black battle worn covers, they look the shite. But you said you wanted nice looking ones so i'd go with black or ask Tim to see if he can make you your own CUSTOM plain black covers without holes!!

I wouldn't put battle worn covers in that guitar. I'd go for the plain black covers. If the hardware is satin black, satin black covers.

he told me he can't do that because passives work different than EMG (of course they are different). I thought the "Iommi" model was a passive pickup :? ...
oh well :( ... I'll get the "Battle Worn" without being "worn", how could that be called?

Anyway, why anyone would wanna put a Hand Made work of art such as a BKP in a guitar and then have the possibility of it being mistaken for an EMG, ewwwwwwwww lol :) (just kiddin')

Buy a pair of these:

Then send them to Tim when you make your order and he wil wind them appropriately to compensate for the cover, and he can fit and pot the covers for you.

so I would buy the "uncovered" humbuckers I suppose and I'll just send them to Tim so that he can finish them and he could even engrave the logo if I want, that would be perfect :D

barely, you wont notice it with such great pickups

Tell him when you order them and he can wind them slightly hotter and brighter (the benefit of hand winding). Just explain to him what you want and he'll be more than happy do discuss it with you I'm sure.

I already sent him the mail for the request... If he agrees I'll tell him to make them sound the best even if they are covered.
thanks alot guys! you are great! I almost bought EMG pickups only for the looks :oops: but I'm shure that these metal plated covered BKP will sound incredible!!
