My guitar looks like this (i $%ed up the tone controls but they are not important!). I do not want gold covers again.
I tried to emulate some other covers but they turned out pretty cr@p, but oh well.
Black covers:

LOL Battle Worn (i think it would look a bti better than this!):

And finally if those don't work then Aged Gold perhaps (it doesn't look anything like aged gold though):

I also thought about maybe a camo/disressed one.
Now you can laugh at my poor paint skills lol!
-
Why not black open coils?
-
I think distressed would look best on that, or aged gold.
-

Don't want open coils.
-
Aged gold for the win!
-
Yeah Aged Gold looks pretty darn good, i don't think the black ones go that well with it, well not in those pictures anyway.
-
hmmm i think pickups with covers always look better when they match the hardware... i.e... silver hardware = silver covers...
so id go gold covers in your case....
-
lol read the first post Mr Sambo.
-
ah i see.... lol well the aged ones then!
definately aged gold
-
mirror pickguard
black damaged covers
-
^if the hardware was black...
-
Yeah the black doesn't go too well with the gold, and also when the black is damaged the damged parts are silver making it clash even more.
-
precisely.
-
Wait a second!!
I remember what else, Black with Gold polepieces!
Surely that would go.

Change the hardware too then
+1 for the aged gold
EDIT: Or black covers with gold screws! :drink:
-
i guess so... look at toms Epi...
-
I'm not changing the hardware because i don't know how and i can't be arsed! Well not yet anyway, i havn't had the guitar for that long.
-
yer so get gold (aged) covers then! lol
-
It's between Aged Gold and Black with gold polepieces.

Oh, it does :D Look in the thread called something like "battle worn but not worn covers" or something for a couple of pics of my black covers with gold poles :drink:
-
Right, i've got it.
Matt Black covers with gold pole pieces/ allen screws maybe.
-
allens.
-
On both pickups?
-
yesssssss
allens just look cooler imo...
-
Ok this is it:
Matt Black Covers w/ Gold Cap Head Allen Bolts.
Assuming you can get Gold Cap Head Allen Bolts.
-
thats what i was wondering lol...
-
This sounds like a job for.... Tim!
-

-
PM has gone. Awating the reply.
Anyways i'm not really sure why i'm deciding now as i'm getting an amp first
-
haha!... what a waste of time lol
-
But at least i will be prepared!
-
 yes... you've gained that much at least.
-
^if the hardware was black...
chrome.
but i'm just thinking out loud.. since i want a V with that configuration
-
Gay, the Gold Allens cannot be done :(
Guess i'll have to stick with normal pole pieces.
-

Could always get normal allens and spray em or something?
-
I can get gold pole pieces, i think. But not gold allen screws.
