#2

First one. Not keen on the scratchplate.
-
2nd imo
-
please tell the complete reason of your choice please :D
-
There's not much difference really, but on the whole I'd say I preferred #2. Which is odd, because I usually can't stand scratch plates.
Not too fond of the fret markers though...

1st one for me.... it's a metal guitar.... it's a weapon that you are showing in the picture, imo its simplicity and rawness of the shape will be much appreciated when there are less plastic on the body... besides scratch plate for RR is very ugly  <-like this
-
#2
I like the black SP. kinda gives it an edge of sophistication.

+1.... but the border lines can look aweful if not done exactly the way I like it and viewed at the proper angle too, so it's close.
-
First one, looks a lot more classy without the fugly pickguard.
-
I think that #1 gets much more love than #2
being honest... I don't use the tone pots, only the volume. and some people even say that a guitar sounds better without tone pots, they say that they suck tone.
-
First one because there is no scratch plate, though a tone control would be useful.
-
i'd go for #1 cuz it looks kewler and i like the idea of less processing between pups and amp.
-
does the second one have binding? you can't really tell with the background...
-
#1 - Scratchplates are ugly.
-

yes it has
both have black binding
-
the top one looks like it's worth more and looks great

ah, ok. I dunno. I started off liking the pickguard one better, but I'm starting to think the others are swaying me...
:(

I am not a fan of either but if pushed, I'd say 1.
-
then #1 it shall be!!
thanks guys :D

I'd probably agree with you Mr Beatle - V's aren't my thing, something curvier would be nicer (to my mind) :drink:

That's interesting becuase not only have I heard that plenty of times before, but the only time I ever use a tone pot, which is still very rarely, is on a Les Paul so I can turn it down a little for the bridge pickup sometimes to make it match the neck. With my Rebel Yell set, I don't even need to do that either.
I try not to use either pot, because when you turn the volume pot down, that sucks a hell of a lot of tone too.

I think guitar number 1 looks better, alot simpler design. Where do you guys get thes egutiar designs from tho? seen a few posts with similar images, im guessing theres a website with the generic images that you can pick and choose from to build a virtual guitar.
-
I prefer #2. It adds to the two-tone thing of the guitar.

I like #1 best: much prefer the simple 1 vol, 1 switch arrangement
-
The first one looks nicer to me. I like the minimalist look on a 'fun' guitar like that. It adds to the stripped down "loaded and ready to fire" look.
I like elaborate on vintage, minimal on modern. The first one just seems to look more 'energetic'.
#1 reminds me of Eddie Van Halen's early no nonsense approach to guitar design.
And all that coming from a middle aged 'vintage' geezer ! Part of me would just love to pick up #1 and grow some hair :D
Regards,
Derek.

I'd say the 2nd one has more of an 80s taste and the 1st one is a little more contemporary.
What am I saying? the 80s IS contemporary isn't it????? 8)

1st
+ scratch plates can come loose and rattle (at least it did on my Jackson RR5!!)
-
I try not to use either pot, because when you turn the volume pot down, that sucks a hell of a lotof tone too.
Its a pretty easy mod to fix this problem though. You just need to wire a resistor and capacitor across lugs 1+3, not sure how it needs to be done though.
-
i like the first one the best because it white sets off the EMG's nicely and the second one has a black scratchplate so the contrast isn't so good. :guitar4:
