I was going to buy it, but I didn't have the money at the time... In retrospect I wish I had... still, I'd like to know what it sounds like too... might get one now.

i haven't heard the atomic reactor, there's also now an alternative, which i also haven't heard, from Tech 21, a powered 2x12 with both jack and xlr inputs.  it has 60 solid state watts against the Atomic's 18 valve ones.  might be worth a try.  it's always good to have more than one solution available.

i have a pod xt pro also, it produces some great sounds at usable volumes.  it may not be a "proper" valve amp, but a lot of people that criticise them are just being snobbish.  don't be embarrased by it, get a t-shirt!! :P

Is that the Tech 21 Power Engine?  I thought it was just a powered extension speaker for the Trademark series amps, didn't realise it could be used with a Pod.  Seems quite subversive, using a digital modeller through a speaker made by a company that specialises in 100% analog products!

I'm another Pod XT owner who'd like to know more about the Atomic Reactor 112.  Wonder if anyone's actually got one?

One of my customers is just selling a Marshall 2x 100w power amp
A pod through that would be fun!!
Oh yes - you'd need cabs too

Just seen it for 399 EUR in a German online store.

For this money it's not bad, but I would still get a real tube amp instead, e.g. a Fender Pro Junior, this just gives you more tone for the buck ...

Problem is, my neighbours would complain if they kept hearing me playing with a big Koch.

Ahem...

TBH, I don't really need a proper amp at all, as I'm never likely to play outside the confines of my living room.  My old Rivera combo just sits gathering dust, and I play through the Pod or a Pandora using headphones.  The Atomic is such a neat idea though, I'm still tempted to get one.

A lot of guys on the line6 forum say the atomic is amazing but very bassy (its a ported design and benefits from being tilted up or put on a stand of some kind) and very loud too, even at 18 watta (I think there's a 50 watt version coming out too) I'd love to try one with my XTL. Apparently you need to change settings when using the Atomic due to the aforementioned bassiness can make it sound a little dark.  BTW any Xt users fancy sharing patches? :)
