I decided to carry out a series of mods on my electro harmonix electric misstress flanger pedal, the mods are from an article printed in Novembers edition of Guitar and bass magazine.
Whilst carrying out a mod on the filter matrix switch I made a c--k up and seem to have re-wired it wrong as the flanger circuit still works but when I slide the switch to activate the filter matrix it deactivates the flanger but I do not get the matrix effect , the colour control seems to be working but the range control isn't doing anything.
I think I re-wired the switch wrong when I was transfering the filter matrix switch to a 3 PDT foot switch, before I removed the wires from the original filter matrix slider switch I labeled all the wires so i wouldn't mix up which way they were connected but I think I've c--ked up some where. Even after soldering the wires back onto the original switch the flanger is working but not the filter matrix.
So my question is does anyone out there have an electric misstress pedal - the older style with built in mains power supply ?
If so, would it be possible for them to open it up and suss out how the 6 wires are connected to the filter matrix switch by tracing them back from the various points that they exit the pcb ? I know its a pain in the arse but if anyone cares to take pity on me and help out that would be a great help, I've already tried re-wiring it in different permutations but I think its a lost cause !!
If I had an identical pedal to copy the wiring from that would be big help !

The guys in the forums around here are very helpful

You have any info yet ?

no not yet, since I posted my question its been buried by like another million zillion questions (ok, slight exageration !) relating to pedals, I'll give it some time, someone will hopefully spy it and reply.
Surprised nobody else on here has offreded any advice although I guess its a bit specialised.
Will see what turns up.

I'm really annoyed with myself with the c--kup I've made as all the other mods. work fine !!!

hope this doc will help. It's a 9v Electric mistress layout I got on the diystompboxes forum.

Excellent, cheers for that, I will print it off and see if I can make any sense of it. I'll let you know how I get on.

Cheers for the diagram but it doesn't seem to correspond to my particular pedal, mine has 6 wires going from the circuit board to the switch, the circuit must have been revised over the years.
Cheers anyway.

If it's a deluxe EM you should have a look at this

Cheers mate that looks very promising, it has the 6 inputs to the switch and the rest of the circuit looks the same as mine.
I will give it a whirl tonight !

Did U get sorted as friend is lending me his to look at?
