Right.
I've been browsing the oh-so-well laid out Axes-r-us site, when I came upon those mahogany tele Bodies, which apparently have a 2 1/8" heel.
Now, I must admit, they look like a suitably solid piece of wood for my purposes. Next I looked for a neck. They don't seem to have any for that pocket size.
So, the question. Is 2 1/8" "Standard" fender size, and is that why I haven't seen it mentioned?

No, 2-3/16" is standard Fender size (so 2-1/8" is 1/16" narrower)

would ask for more pics of the tele you want have seen them in person, he lives near me, some are great some are not so....so best have other pics from other angles

Should be a nice press fit into the body. May need to give a whack with a knockometer (hammer) :P
If it wont press in, then it shoudn't be too much effort taking 1/16 off the pocket (it's only 1/32 off each side)

Aye, but I'm not exactly gifted with manual dexterity. My hands are effectivley just guinness spanners.

Well then there you have it; you can admire the beautiful body whilst your hands are spanning a Guinness, no need to play it then is there. :P
