I was looking around ebay for some effects pedals and I came across this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Marshall-Guvnor-Sounds-Great-No-Res_W0QQitemZ220040217753QQihZ012QQcategoryZ41416QQtcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I want a Guv'nor Plus pedal but I have no idea what this "vintage" pedal sounds like and I'm wondering if anyone here knows anything about it. It looks tempting.

They do a real nice crunchification, those pedals, and are great to push a driven amp into even-more-driveness.
The old ones, like that one, are lovely, but I wouldn't pay more than £50 for one.

Those made in england ones go for about 150quid over here! There are quite a few made in korea versions tat are quite a bit cheaper though, not sure if they're as good. Anyway thy much better than the guvnor plus, instant Gary Moore!

I have one, and it's brilliant, it's way better than the new one, it's made in england and i got it for 50 quid (euro)

Does anyone know about the Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal? it has the same casing as the original Guv'nor and I've only only come across it recently second hand, maybe it's a more vintage overdrive?

Crunchification... now that's a word i havent heard yet haha

yeah they split the guv'nor into three pedals drivemaster, shred master and the blues one, as I remember was quite good.....have the same guv'nor as that ebay thing and a drivemaster.....but don't use them now
where a great pedal...original guv'nor was better though
