Cheers all

what pickups are in there at the minute? hum-hum? hum-sing-sing? hum-sing-hum?
and what selector switch/electronics?
-
Well you can never go wrong with 4.... even if you have H-H and don't use splitting you could always install it at a later date.
-
^ yeah- but if you know you don't need it, it's more soldering than you need to do, i think.
-
Theres 2 singles and 1 humbucker
Cheers

You only need 2 for series operation.
However, 4 is 1 whole exrta solder join and doesnt cost any more.
-
If in doubt always go with 4 con as you can do all wiring options with that.

didn't i tell you before I suffer from chronic laziness?
but yeah, go with what tim said. Plus if it's HSS, you'll need 4 conductor if you want to split the humbucker on the 5-way switch.

what type of floyd is in your jackson? the jt580LP? I think that's a direct swap for an OFR/Gotoh/Schaller- though the studs may not be the right size.
anyway, go to www.floydrose.com , http://www.schaller-guitarparts.de/1000.htm and www.wdmusicproducts.co.uk (for the gotoh ge1996t trem)- they all have routing templates on there so you can measure your guitar to see if they'll fit (bar schaller, I think you have to email them and they'll send you the template).
