I'd like to perform a modification to my guitar, as I like feedback that much. I want to be able to make my guitar feedback for infinty, when I move in the right place on stage. I like the zappa tone, but I want the same output level that he had on his guitars, yet with keeping my guitars distinctive unique tone. Is there any way I can perform a mod that will make my guitar sound like a monster by making the inbuilt electronic output 18dB louder, without getting a specialist to do it? and without paying (as I am broke)

If you like building circuits yourseld then it can be done cheaply.
It's only a booster and theres many many plans out there. Most of the current curcuits (including many aclaimed commercial boosters) are straight copies from Jack Ormans stuff http://www.muzique.com
The mosfet booster can give up to around 30Db boost (as I remember)
The circuits can be made cosniderably smaller than the boards he sells (especially if you stand the resistors on end etc)
