Dear all, i'm new to here and i would like some advice some you guys.
I got an Les Paul from Warmoth. Mahogany neck and body with ebony fingerboard equipped with floating Floyd rose bridge. Currently i'm using Dimarzio's Air Zone(neck) and Steve's special (bridge) but they dun quite satisfy me.
I would like a similiar characteristic Pups which i would like my bridge Pups can handle dead heavy riff, screaming solo and dive bombing. Neck will need to be warm, fat and punchy with nice round tone for jazzy tone and nice fluid tone for yjm style apreggios.
My style will mainly be metal but also do blues and jazzy stuff. Therefore, i would like the combination to be versatile but still needs to be screaming hot when i needed.
Please advice.
thx in advance.

I'm thinking ceramic warpig bridge, mississippi queen neck.

I'm thinking the modern classic Miracle Man bridge & Cold Sweat Neck, very popular for that kind of music.

I'm thinking a ceramic warpig bridge and an Alnico V bridge warpig in he neck.... (EDIT: I'm not really serious, as this would be extremely overkill for what you, or anyone else for that matter, are looking for).
Seriously, what gingataff said or if you want something more similiar to what you have now, a Cold Sweat bridge and neck.

just to throw another spanner in the preverbial works.
I replaced the standard pups in my MusicMan JP6 (not dissimilar to yours) with a Calibrated set of Painkillers and am very satisfied with the tones I can now get. Bluesy through to Metal.
BTW, have a Calibrated Custom Warpig set and Bridge is Ceramic but neck is not. I think this is a bit too heavy for some of the tones you are looking for. Not by much but harder to tame than some other options.

Probably the closest to a Steve's Special is the Miracle Man, its been descibed as the best bits of the SS, Evolution and EMG81 rolled together, and as the SS was Petruccis bridge pup for a while many people say the MM can get his tones (but better) easily. The CS is a common pup to have in the neck with that if you don't fancy the calibrated set.

Oh I meant to make a joke down the lines of Spinal Tap with that, but you guys probably didn't figure it out because I failed to mention that I meant a warpig bridge in the neck, you know, way overkill... ;P
But yeah, Nailbombs is what I meant.....
