hey guys,

i have desided to get a set of nailbombs in early january for my birthday but the problem is that my guitar has quite a vintige look, so i dont want to spoil it by puting in pups with say "engraved camo" covers. i quite like the look of the zebra coils though

what do you guys think ?

Why not just keep the look as it is now by getting either Chrome or Nickel covers?

thats quite a good idea - but i feel like a change from the norm, just something that (apart from the sound) says "you have new pickups"

if you get what i mean

i quite like black open coils in goldtops, and i think somebody on here has the black covers too

Double cream (yum) or cream & black zebra gets my vote if you want open coils, but personally I'd probably change all the hardware to nickel and get nickel covered pups.

My goldtop is getting double cream Cold Sweat in the bridge and Reverse Zebra Painkiller in the neck.  I had nickel covers in it before.  I'm never keen on black coils in goldtops (even though I used to have a SD Pearly Gates in the neck of mine that was double black - I still had a double cream JB in the bridge).

I like open black coils, simple and classy ... and people will think it's all stock and say: "Man that guy has got serious tone in his fingers"
