I'm waiting for a buyer to pull the trigger on the Seymour Duncan pickups I'm blowing out at a too-good-to-pass-up price, and then I will be ordering what will be my 4th, 5th, and 6th BK pups!!!
A bit about the guitar this will be going into:
This is another project guitar I'm working on. The body is a solid alder H-S-S Wayne Rock Legend body. The neck will be a maple Gajic Custom neck with ebony fingerboard.

So, what say you? Any and all suggestions welcome!!
-
I reckon a camo covered pickuo would look nice on the bridge!
Unfortunatly im new to BKP so can't help on which... sweet guitar though, love that finish
-
Acutally, colour-wise I'm thinking of something a bit more ... radical, shall we say ;)
-
More radical... we talking Dimarzio bright green neon style?!!
-
Maaaaybe, maaaaybe :D
Here's my Irish Tour + Miracle Man, btw

Even though it's not listed in the HSS sets, I'm going to say the Warpig with 2 Trilogy pu's.

:D Hi TO how`s about waiting untill Tim releases the long awaited "Cold Sweat" H/B :D 8)
How long `till it`s ready Tim ?? :D 8)
-
the cold sweat is in the final stages of testing. How about the Holy diver? its wound with 43 gauge plain enamel, but has a ceramic magnet.
how about a burnt chrome cover.....?
-
Hmmm, nice suggestions.
Steve: every post mentioning the Holy Diver has been met with Tim saying it'll be too bright. Is it voiced to go into an alder body?
-
Im afriad im not shure what Tim voiced it with. It was probably with one of his les pauls.

I'd go with a Cold Sweat over teh Diver in a alder guitar, especially with a maple/ebony neck
-
How about the Emerald - it's in between the VH2 and Nailbomb, lots of harmonics and plenty of grunt?

TO-
Get the Holy Diver- if it's really what its named for shouldn't it work in an Alder guitar? + looks like i'm gonna be getting one for an alder guitar pretty soon and I can't wait.
Is it possible to order pickups from BKP in colors other then black, white and zebra?
-
at the moment we can only offer pickups in those colours. We will ask our supplier if he can get any different coloured bobbins. In about a month our bobbin tool will be finished, so we can offer different ones then!

ah, very cool.
What colors do you think you will offer?

It's just that ebony hecnk...would sound great in a rosewood neck axe!
-
I've come to have a deep loathing for rosewood fingerboards.
-
Why's that??
-
It has no attack, man!
-
Less attack, yes, I'll give you that. Sounds great with a alder/maple top guitar though, extra full mid! Mind you one persons rich is another persons muddy...!

Im not shure at the moment. I'll ask Tim when he's back from his break.
-
Steve, did you guys give Tim some time in padded room for a bit? :D
-
I Would Say Sinner Neck, Another Irish Tour Middle and a NEON FAG PINK Bridge The Mule, UNLESS you want medium to high output.
and so, there´s another vote for a pair of powered the mules , THE RED BULL
ahahahahahahahahhahahah
-
Nah, no Mule for me, I think ...
As for the colours, I have a few ideas ... but you know my taste too well, JP!!

REVISION
Okay, I've decided I'm putting a dummy in the middle position. I simply don't use it!
So, I'm looking for a bridge HB and a neck SC ... alder body, maple/ebony neck.
-
You could get a dummy coil for the middle, with no mags. I did this on on of my strats, the tone suffers a bit but I have it on a push pull to give me the option to shut out noise when it's a really big issue. Tim will probably hate me for telling you about this...

LOL!
Very clever idea!
-
Not mine, stole it from Musicman! :P
-
Or a sustainiac in the middle. :?: :?:
-
Can only put the sustainer pup in the neck position ...
-
It was just a thought. I didn't know you could only put it the neck position.
