Hey guys, I'm new to the BKP forums...and the pick ups also. I was just about to settle with some SD's until I heard Tim play with the BKP's. My jaw then dropped and I decided not to get them anymore.
Now I'm here wanting some of these so called bare knuckle pups and I just need some insight to which ones would suite me.
I play everything from blues/classic rock/(hard)rock/metal. Appreciated!
*EDIT*
Aha, just to clarify. I have a ec-1000 with emg's right now; rosewood fret board, maghondy body, etc. Also, I would love to get a good slash/page tone also--a bit more too. Just versatile all around with good sustain I would think.

Versatile all rounder? You'll be wanting the Mules...

....or Crawlers.
More output and more midrange.

+1 for the Crawlers, especially if your classic rock is on the harder side!
-
I'd say Crawlers or the Holy Diver.

For Slash and Page Tone with some harder rock and metal added for good measure I would say.
A Black Dog in the Bridge and A Mule in the Neck
Hope this helps  ,

Thanks for the responses guys, wow pretty diverse in em eh?
Well, from what I hear, I could make use of a mule and a black dog, sound good? I'm still on the fence about it though.

Rebel Yells!!! ...well they will get you a good Slash/Page tone but not the most precise, but they're good for about anything and still clean up very nicely too. They're fairly bright, but personally I think they sound amazing in Les Pauls.

I'm most likely going Black Dog bridge and Mule neck, Crawler set, or RY set in that order.

My vote is for either Black Dog's or Mules, or both...
BD bridge & Mule neck sounds like a great solution. ;)
