Hails Infamous Friends and Colleagues!!!
Q:p
my Bkps will arrive soon. i hope they donīt delay too much.
in the meantime.. iīm pretty sure iīll like these $%gin Pickus.
Considering thatīs TRUE... iīll have to choose a neck pickup for me.
i want something different... hereīs what iīm looking for:
LOTS of SUSTAIN.
Singing Highs and Mids.(Sing, Not SCREAM.)
Crunchy Mids.
And Smooth, Slightly Tight Bass.
Moderated/high output.
Pretty Good Articulation Under High Gain.
AIRY sound(i think this is a built in thing , a character from all Bkp pickups and the scatterwind technique, RIGHT? correct me here please folks)
AH, and a NICE clean Sound. (full but with some Strat glassyness to it.)
A dark pickup, but that donīt get Muddy. itīs not necessarily Dark, but not too Bright, and not too dark .
Something Like this, Eq wise speaking ->
Bass 5, Mids 6. Highs 8.
Any tips on what this pickup looks Like?!
JP
THANKīS IN ADVANCE!

ahahahahaha
HUMBUCKER.
Q:(
I already choose a bridge one so, ahahah iīm only in dubt about the neck.
i thought about the cold sweat, but there may be another pickup that can do the trick.
-
nailbomb ??
-
I was thinking that, or a Cold Sweat, or a Mule. but mules arent for high gain stuff.
-
I'm looking for something similar myself, but not such a high output pickup, I was thinking of the VHII.
-
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuum. interesting.

Sorry I have to disagree. My Mule on my Mesa Nomad can scream and sustain for days. Mules and probably even stormy mondays will do high gain without troubles with the right amp or pedal. What they are not build for is Metal high gain stuff where tons of mids are required.
But since you said 'sing not scream' I think a mule would be perfect.

Yes, from my own experience I was about to say Mule.
"Mule"
There ... I said it.
1) Sings but does not scream
2) Sounds 'open' yet a bit more middy than my Stormy Mondays.
3) Very sweet sounding, especially on the top strings where I notice it most
4) can handle gain in the 'Gary Moore' arena. Very "Parisienne Walkways".
:D

Abraxas/Crawler maybe? Sweet as honey, sings like a bird and hotter than a Mule.
Still might be a bit tame for you though, JP.
